The Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine trains specialists in biology, chemistry, geography, and general and clinical medicine, supported by modern laboratories and clinical practice bases.

Departments

Department of Biology

The Department of Biology trains specialists in biology, biotechnology and their teaching methodology.

Department of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry was founded in 2001 as the “Chemistry and Ecology” department within the Faculty of Natural Sciences. It works to advance chemistry education in the region and to introduce modern teaching technologies.

Department of Geography

The geography programme opened in 1998 within the Faculty of History and later took shape as a separate Department of Geography, training specialists in geography and its teaching methodology.

Department of General Medical Sciences

The Department of General Medical Sciences teaches future medical specialists anatomy, physiology and other fundamental medical disciplines.

Department of Clinical Sciences

The Department of Clinical Sciences was established in September 2024 within the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Medicine. Students study the specialisms of general medicine and paediatrics.
